Another unforgettable FitzFest!
A huge shoutout to our incredible team at The Maltings, our Norfolk day service, The Maltings, for delivering another unforgettable FitzFest last
weekend!
FitzFest, Norfolk’s first inclusive festival, returned with a bang, bringing together live music, mouthwatering food, and an atmosphere of joy, connection and celebration. Designed for everyone, FitzFest is more than a festival. It is a space where there is no fear and no judgment – just fun!
The day was filled with laughter, dancing and unforgettable performances.
Andrew, a member and ambassador at The Maltings, captured the spirit of the day perfectly: “FitzFest is like a family party – I want to say thank you all for coming. All of the staff were very helpful and kind. We all really enjoyed the day and want to raise the money for our sensory garden. I really enjoyed Tyler Yarham’s singing and guitar. I had food there and cider, the best one was a big buffalo burger and we had a really good time!”
Festival goer Molly added: “Going to FitzFest was a really amazing experience. It was such an inclusive, family friendly event, that had been organised with so much love. From the music, to the entertainment, the vendors and even organising the sprinklers to come on to cool everyone down, the whole event was a joyous experience. This is definitely an event that we will be attending annually!”
And it wasn’t just attendees who felt the magic – our volunteers did too.
Maggie, a local resident and FitzFest volunteer, said: “I decided to support FitzFest because it raises funds for a very worthy cause. I live locally and see the work the team do at The Maltings and was blessed to be able to give back and enable them to continue to do what they do so well. I’ll definitely look to support in the future and had an absolute blast at FitzFest 2025!”
A day to remember, a community to celebrate
The success of FitzFest wouldn’t be possible without the amazing people who made it happen. Special thanks go out to Fakenham Town Football Club for hosting us, as well as every performer, stallholder, volunteer and guest who came along and made the day so special.
Kerensa, Manager at The Maltings, summed it up:
“What can I say about the day and our team that volunteered their time to help. THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!! It was an amazing day and it was great to see people we support enjoying the music and the day, and how wonderful it was to see people we support from other services attend and from the wider care community. It was hard work to set up and arrange but we got there, and I loved just seeing how it all fell into place. I want to say again thank you to everyone who came.”
A festival with a purpose
We’re thrilled to share that we raised around £6,600 from ticket sales and merchandise. These funds will go towards our sensory garden project, helping us create even more inclusive, enriching spaces for Maltings Day Service visitors.
FitzFest isn’t just a festival—it’s a movement for inclusivity, joy, and community connection. We’re already looking forward to making next year even bigger and better.
Until then—thank you for being part of the magic.
