Christmas goings-on at FitzRoy
Tis’ the season, and we’ve been receiving lots of festive stories from our services up and down the country! Here’s just a few of the lovely things that have been going on in the run up to the big day.
In Newark, Jamie Keenaghan was selected along with Andrew Dove to be the recipients of a generous Christmas donation from Newark Waitrose. A hamper of food and goodies were given to them both, as well as a £15 voucher to shop in-store to buy any fresh produce they need for the Christmas holidays. Jamie is thrilled with this early gift. Thank you Waitrose.
Elvis Smalley, who we support in Nottingham, has been out and about enjoying a bit of festive fun. He paid a visit to the local garden centre checking out the Christmas decorations and looking the part, all thanks to his support worker Johanne Dawes. Joining in with the local community has certainly put a smile on Elvis’s face.
At On Track Day Centre in Hampshire, the people we support had a big Christmas lunch thanks to Support Worker Heather Williams who had the idea. When Heather’s husband told his friend, a butcher, and he kindly donated delicious turkeys!
Everyone had a brilliant time eating lots of food whilst wearing their best Christmas jumpers and cracker hats. Thank you to everyone who helped make the feast happen!
There was a lovely Christmas gathering at our Supported Living service in Herefordshire. A small group of staff delivered a fantastic evening for residents. They spent a lot of time setting everything up and put in a lot of effort to provide a very much enjoyed party.
Thank you to all of our Support Workers who have gone the extra mile this Christmas to make a real difference to people’s lives. A special thank you to all the Support Workers that are working on Christmas Day to make it special for the people we support.
