Love4Life Hampshire is delighted to announce that our application for funding from The National Lottery Community Fund has been successful! This vital grant will enable us to offer a lifeline to even more people with a learning disability and autistic people, supporting them to develop social networks, make friends and maybe even find love.

Hayley, Love4Life manager, said: “This is amazing news, we are so grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund. We have more than 160 members across Hampshire, benefiting from our programme of social events and workshops where they can learn new skills and build their confidence.

“Through Love4Life our members build friendships and thrive as part of a supportive community. Many rarely stepped outside of their own four walls before joining Love4Life – because of experiences of exploitation and mate crime or just not having any trusted friends to go out with.  Seeing them build the confidence to make friends, share their interests, and decide what they’d like to do is a huge step forward.

“We’re always looking for new activities that interest our members and enable them to achieve their goals and aspirations. In June, we had our first ever Love4Life Green Team event, which saw Love4Life members volunteering to take part in a litter pick. We want to do more of this, members get a kick out of being able to contribute to their local areas.”

Hollie, Love4Life member and trustee said:

Many times throughout our lives we have felt invisible. Sometimes we have hidden or cut ourselves off to keep safe. Sometimes we have been ignored and overlooked. Not only is Love4Life our place to shout out, be seen and heard – and be loved. It is a place where we find power.

While securing this funding from the National Lottery is a massive success, it represents only a part of our overall fundraising efforts to keep Love4Life going. We believe that everyone should have the chance to live, work, have fun, and reach their full potential so we need to continue our fundraising to expand our reach and impact even more people with a learning disability and autistic people.

With the continued support of our community, volunteers, and generous funders, Love4Life can make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, helping them to lead fulfilling and enriched lives.

Love4Life has networks across Hampshire, West London and Coventry.
