Become a Co-facilitator

About this Role

 

Join us as a Co-Facilitator for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism and help educate and inspire health and social care teams to provide truly person-centred support.

We are looking for individuals who have an autism or learning disability diagnosis, bringing your insight, expertise and an understanding of your experiences to delegates to increase their knowledge and person centred support.

We offer competitive pay for every hour of training delivered, including travel time, and reimburse all travel expenses such as bus and train fares, and mileage for car use.

Locations We Are Recruiting For:

  • Coventry

  • Norfolk

  • Suffolk

  • London

  • Nottingham

We are also seeking co-facilitators who would be happy to travel and stay in a hotel overnight if training takes place further away from home.

 

 

You must be able to:

  • Speak confidently in front of groups

  • Listen carefully and understand what others are saying

  • Stay organised and prepared for each training session

  • Travel independently to different locations using public transport or your own vehicle

What the role involves

Collaborate with fellow trainers to deliver in-person sessions, always working alongside at least one other trainer.

Share your personal experiences of living with autism or a learning disability, answering questions to help others learn and understand.

Being confident to talk in front of a group, and share your experiences. We will support you with this.

What we will provide to you

We provide fully funded training to prepare you for the role, there’s no cost to you.

You’ll co-deliver sessions with another trainer, and we’ll work with you to make any reasonable adjustments needed to support your success.

You’ll be paid monthly for your training hours and expenses (in arrears), and we cover travel costs. If preferred, we can pay for your travel tickets in advance.
