FitzRoy is looking for a new Director of Operations and Development
Are you a person-centred, values driven strategic leader who wants to transform the lives of people with learning disabilities? If so, this could be the role for you.
FitzRoy is a national charity committed to supporting and transforming the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism. We were founded in 1962 by Elizabeth FitzRoy and John Williams, pioneering parents who wanted their children with learning disabilities to have a better life and the opportunity to live in small homes in their communities, rather than in institutions hidden and cut off from life.
Today, this strong value base continues to drive us every day and ensure that people with learning disabilities and autism live the life they choose, and one not a life defined by disability. From supported volunteering and community involvement through to assistive technology and service user forums; we offer a diverse range of services, tailored to the wants, needs and aspirations of people with disabilities â listening and engaging with the people we support to continually develop our approach to care.
We are now seeking a Director of Operations and Business Development to provide visible and clear leadership to our dedicated and committed team, and bring robust strategic thinking to help continue to evolve and grow our organisation: enabling us to support more people and ultimately transform more lives.
You will bring a proven track record of delivering significant organisational growth and will have well-honed strategic skills to anticipate new opportunities, forecast and plan ahead. With demonstrable strategic leadership experience within a social care setting, you will work collegiately with our experienced senior leadership team to inform the direction of the organisation and drive quality, innovation and continuous service improvement.
You will be a person-centred and visible leader with the ability to engage, influence and inspire teams across Operations, Quality Management, Health and Safety and Business Development. Sharing our values of seeing the person; being creative and being brave, you will have leadership experience of enabling geographically dispersed multi-disciplinary teams to tailor support to the needs of every individual. The role offers:
- £85,000 plus car or car allowance
- FitzRoy’s head office is based in Petersfield, Hampshire and the role is expected to be based here for a minimum of two days a week with national travel also require
