New year, new challenge! Kickstart your 2020 with a FitzRoy event
Want to make a New Year’s resolution that will push your limits and make a difference? It’s a brand-new decade, why not take the leap and try a new challenge for FitzRoy to kickstart your 2020!
To celebrate the start of 2020, we have launched a series of fresh fundraising events for you to get involved with. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker who has always wanted to do a skydive, or if you’ve vowed to start jogging this year, there’s an event for you.
Here’s what’s on offer:
Summer Solstice Skydive
Join hundreds of other thrill-seekers and take to the skies in the UK’s largest public skydive event on Sunday 21 June 2020.
No previous experience is required with a tandem skydive â you’ll be attached to an instructor who is in complete control of your jump throughout. All you need to do is kick back and enjoy the view!
Ultra Challenge
Walk, jog or run at your pace on the Ultra Challenge Series event of your choice: 25km, 50km or 100km.
There are Ultra Challenge events all over the country, from the Isle of Wight to the Peak District â so you can get involved wherever you are.
Find a race near you
If an Ultra Challenge seems out of reach, you can still fundraise for FitzRoy by finding a local race near to you. Head to Find a Race and you can find something that suits you â whether it be running, walking, cycling or inflatables!
Edinburgh Marathon and Bournemouth Half Marathon
Experience stunning sea views and breath-taking coastal routes in the Bournemouth Half Marathon, or take part in the prestigious Edinburgh Marathon, which is now in its 18th year!

The money we receive through our fundraising events makes such a huge difference to the people we support. We had a brilliant year in 2019 with so many FitzRoy heroes taking part in events from skydives to firewalks and we can’t wait to continue this momentum into 2020.
