We Are FitzRoy

FitzRoy’s culture is led by our values, we see the person, we are brave, we are creative. We are really clear on what that looks like for people we support. But what does it mean for us as colleagues? How we work together, how we treat to each other?

We want to build a workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered, and to help us achieve that, we are working with Fairer Consulting, who are leading the way with their diversity, equity and inclusion work. We are thrilled to announce that we are shortly going to be launching some staff listening sessions in May and June, to get your thoughts and feedback to help us shape a diversity, equality and inclusion training programme for FitzRoy.

Our aim is for FitzRoy colleagues to:
• Understand what diversity, equality and inclusion means at FitzRoy
• Create a more inclusive FitzRoy where staff feel that they truly belong
• Strengthen cross-cultural awareness and everyday respect
• Have the tools you need so you can confidently challenge and role model in your team

Your Voice Matters!

To make this programme unique to FitzRoy and ensure it truly reflects your experiences, Fairer Consulting will be holding some online group listening sessions with a selection of staff across FitzRoy to design our programme. These sessions will gather insights from different roles.

We’ve set up listening sessions for senior leadership, regional and area managers, support workers, seniors, deputies and managers to get involved.

If you’d like to share your experiences to help us shape our training and you’re available for one of the below sessions, complete this form

I’m interested

We will try to ensure an even spread across regions and confirm attendees on 19th April so that rotas can allow the hour off needed to attend.

What will happen at the sessions?

The aim is to drill down on a number of EDI themes at FitzRoy, exploring good practice as well as areas for development. Everything will be treated as confidential and only shared beyond the group anonymously to inform the programme of activity.

What’s Coming Next?
Once Fairer Consulting has held sessions with people across the organisation and have truly got to know us, they will design a programme unique to FitzRoy!

The programme will include a range of workshops and tools to help us ensure that FitzRoy is an inclusive workplace and truly lives our values.
This will include:

July: In-person Leadership Workshops for all in-service managers and central support teams. This is a space for open and honest conversations, without senior leaders present, so you can freely share your thoughts and experiences.
September: Online Workshops. Practical, engaging sessions for all frontline staff, focusing on everyday behaviours, decision-making, and creating new habits that foster a culture of inclusion and high performance.
