Oxfordshire Supported Living – Nickling Place

Supported living in Oxfordshire is based across two state-of-the-art services in Banbury and Bicester.

Nickling Place is a supported living service in Banbury. The service supports people who have a learning disability and a physical disability including acquired brain injuries.

Old Place Yard is a supported living service in Bicester. This services also supports people who have acquired brain injuries.

Our Commitment

Our staff team provide high level support to the people who live at our Oxfordshire Supported Living services. If you choose to live here you will have your own key worker to support you. We will support you to make your own choices in your day to day life, while working in partnership with family, friends and health professionals to ensure that you have all the help you need to live the life you choose.

Location

Nickling Place is in a small cul-de-sac with other residential housing nearby. The accommodation is located just outside of Banbury town. Banbury is a market town on the river Cherwell in northern Oxfordshire. The town is a bustling commercial and retail centre at the edge of the Cotswold’s, with a primarily rural surrounding.

Three out of four tenants at the service have their own mobility vehicle and there are nearby bus services to Banbury town centre. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, retail parks and nearby places of interest to visit.

Old Place Yard is located in Bicester. Bicester is one of Oxfordshire’s most attractive market towns. Old Place Yard is situated nearby the historic old town. Sheep Street and Market Square have a range of local and national shops together with cafes, pubs and restaurants. Sheep Street is now pedestrianised, with car parks nearby. There are weekly markets on Fridays in the town centre along with farmers markets and the occasional French market.

Facilities

Nickling Place is made up of five individual flats, with each flat fully accessible and adapted for the people we support and their mobility needs. Each flat has an open plan kitchen/lounge and every bathroom has wet room facilities.
