Turnbull Close – Kent

Turnbull Close is a 12 bed residential care home for people with learning disabilities including physical disabilities and complex health needs. It is split into two units, with six bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and lounge in each unit.

Our commitment

Our dedicated and friendly staff team will provide you with personally tailored support, 24/7. We will support you to develop a person-centred plan, ensuring your needs and choices are fully met. You will be encouraged and supported to take an active role in the daily running of your home, including shopping, cooking and helping to organise regular activities and social events. We will support you to follow your own interests in the community, such as bowling, going out to lunch or seeing a film.

Location

We are located in Stone, Dartford, close to Bluewater shopping centre.

Facilities

People we support enjoy a spacious living area on one level for ease of access. We have a large garden which some of the bedrooms look out over and the other bedrooms look out over the front garden. Residents have been supported to decorate and furnish their homes how they wish. All bathrooms are adapted with ceiling hoists included. There are hydrotherapy baths and areas of the home set up for sensory experiences.

Our staff support residents out in the community whether it is to the local day centre, rebound therapy, hydro pool, personal shopping or even to watch the local football team play. Turnbull Close has always had feedback that it is a homely welcoming environment. We have an adapted vehicle to support people out and about. We also encourage those who are able to use local transport links, increasing social inclusion and community links.
