Audrey’s dream of flying comes true

Audrey, FitzRoy fundraiser, singer and all round incredible friend and house mate, told us she wanted to fly, as she had never been in an airplane before. Other members from our Hampshire day service had already taken to the skies with an amazing organisation Aerobility, so with Audrey’s birthday coming up, her team booked her a flight as a present.

Linden Cottage support worker Grant, who doesn’t like flying in normal sized airplanes, committed to joining her on this very small plane, on a very windy day, overcoming his own personal fears to help Audrey’s dream come true.

Audrey is ecstatic about her flight, and has a certificate she is proudly showing everyone.

Grant said: “Firstly, a huge thank you to the Aerobility team at Lydd airport for helping make this happen! Audrey made us aware that she’d always wanted to go flying, so in true Linden fashion, we made it happen. A half hour flight above Dover and a dream come true! Well done Audrey for being truly fearless.”
