Celebrating Vic’s win at the Kent Care Awards

Published: November 7, 2025

We are delighted to share that Vic Paul, one of our team members in Dartford,  recently won the Residential Support Worker Award at the Kent Care Awards!

Vic represents what great social care looks like. Dedication, compassion, initiative and a genuine commitment to transforming lives.

Every day, Vic makes sure the people he supports are fully involved in daily life – from cooking and doing the washing to getting out and about. He’s always on the lookout for new experiences, local events and opportunities, sharing with his team, inspiring everyone to make life as full as possible. From car shows and football matches to trips to the local airfield, Vic helps people do what they love.

Right now, he’s planning a week-long trip to Lourdes with Jeremy. It is a complex trip requiring careful planning for managing medication, routines and logistics – but Vic is handling it all with his usual calm and thorough dedication.  Jeremy’s an active member of his church and with Vic’s help he’ll be joining this year’s pilgrimage to Lourdes.

Vic makes a real effort to ensure the support he provides is personal and meaningful. Recently he arranged for Jeremy’s bedroom to be redecorated including photographs special to Jeremy, making it truly feel like home.

His colleagues describe him as someone who will do anything for anyone, not because he has to, but because he wants to. He often says to his manager “thank you so much for giving me this job”.

Vic’s love and passion for his job shine through in everything he does. We are thrilled that his hard work, care and commitment have been recognised with this award. Congratulations Vic!

Another huge congratulations to Miette, who was runner-up for the Apprentice of the Year Award, and best of luck to our finalists – Kim, Sarath, Marie, Jessica, Aiden and Maria – in the upcoming Great British Care Awards over the next few weeks!
