Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Hybrid – Petersfield, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 dependant on experience
Employment Type: Full time
Reports to: Financial Accountant

Job Overview

• Manage the Credit Control Process: Ensure prompt collection of outstanding debts in accordance with agreed payment terms.
• Monitor Accounts: Regularly review and manage customer accounts to identify overdue balances and initiate follow-ups.
• Resolve Discrepancies: Work closely with the people we support and internal teams to resolve invoicing issues and account discrepancies.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, collections, and debtor days for management review.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Post 4 weekly invoices for DWP contributions, Mobility contributions and Rent

Key Skills & Requirements

• Experience: Experience of working in a similar Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
• Qualifications: GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and written/spoken English; or similar standard, a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Knowledge: Familiarity with credit management policies, financial regulations, and legal processes related to debt recovery.
