Make a difference through safe, high-quality homes.

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Property Assistant to join our Property Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a varied role where you’ll work with Service Managers, Housing Associations, Registered Providers and private landlords to help ensure the people we support live in safe, well-maintained homes.

You’ll be confident building relationships, resolving property issues, and holding external partners to account to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard. Alongside this, you’ll provide vital administrative support to the Property Team, helping to maintain accurate records, monitor compliance and support the effective management of our property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main Property Team contact for properties managed by Registered Providers, Housing Associations and private landlords.
• Work with Service Managers to identify and resolve property issues, ensuring repairs are progressed and completed in a timely manner.
• Build positive relationships with external landlords while confidently challenging poor performance and escalating concerns where necessary.
• Manage repair cases from initial report through to resolution, keeping accurate records and providing regular updates.
• Support formal complaints and Housing Ombudsman referrals where required to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain property records, contractor information and supplier compliance documentation.
• Support the Property Team with compliance activities, reporting and the maintenance of property management systems.
• Carry out occasional service visits to understand property issues and support continuous improvement.

About You

You’ll be organised, proactive and an excellent communicator with strong administrative skills and attention to detail. You’ll enjoy building relationships, solving problems and working collaboratively while having the confidence to challenge where standards are not being met.
Experience in property, housing, facilities management, compliance or a similar administrative role would be an advantage, but we welcome applicants with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
Join a supportive and collaborative team where your work will make a real difference to the quality, safety and compliance of the homes we provide.
