Property Compliance Officer – Remote with Occasional travel

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Compliance Officer to join our Property Team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of property compliance across our non-managed portfolio, ensuring homes meet all statutory, regulatory and best practice requirements.
Working closely with the Procurement and Compliance Manager, Service Managers and external housing providers, you’ll play a key role in monitoring compliance, maintaining accurate records and ensuring landlords and contractors meet their obligations. You’ll also support the compliance management of our vehicle fleet, making this a varied role with opportunities to broaden your knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage property compliance across our portfolio, ensuring statutory inspections and certifications are completed and up to date.
• Obtain and manage compliance documentation from Registered Providers, Housing Associations and private landlords.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and produce reports using our property management systems.
• Monitor key compliance areas including Gas Safety, Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, Water Hygiene, Asbestos, LOLER, lifts and other statutory requirements.
• Identify compliance risks, track remedial actions and escalate issues to ensure compliance is maintained at all times.
• Work closely with internal teams, contractors and external partners to coordinate inspections, access and compliance activities.
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of our property compliance systems and processes.
• Assist with the compliance management of our vehicle fleet, including servicing schedules, MOTs, inspections, certifications and maintenance records.
• Contribute to audits, compliance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across the Property Team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
• Experience in property compliance, estates, facilities, housing or a similar compliance-focused role.
• A good understanding of statutory property compliance requirements.
• Excellent IT, data management and reporting skills.
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• The confidence to work independently while building positive relationships with colleagues and external partners.
