Webb House – East Sussex

Webb House is a welcoming residential care home in Newhaven on the East Sussex coast, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic people.

Our experienced team provides 24-hour support, shaped around each person’s needs, choices and interests. Up to 19 people live at Webb House, with private bedrooms, shared spaces and plenty of opportunities to spend time with others or enjoy time independently.

We have experience supporting people with complex health needs and different communication needs. FitzRoy’s specialist support team are also on hand to provide additional expertise around people’s feelings of anxiety or distress and what might prevent them from living a gloriously ordinary life.

Webb House is a spacious and colourful home with shared areas for spending time together as well as space to relax on your own.

The home includes:

• a large garden with accessible raised beds and decking
• panoramic views across Newhaven Port, the Ouse estuary and surrounding countryside

Colourful murals throughout the home give Webb House plenty of character and personality.

Support built around you

Everyone is different, so we get to know what matters to each person and build their support around their needs, choices, interests and relationships.

That might include support with personal care, communication, health and wellbeing, everyday living skills, maintaining independence or getting out and about.

We support people to communicate in ways that work for them and to have as much choice and control over their daily life as possible.

Life at Webb House

There is always plenty going on at Webb House, but people can choose how much or how little they want to join in.

Our activities coordinator works with people living here to plan activities around their interests, following a simple approach – You ask, we do.

Activities can include arts and crafts, gardening, music, baking, cooking, book club, games, fitness sessions, cinema nights, discos, karaoke and spa and beauty sessions.

People are equally supported to enjoy their own hobbies, spend time with friends and family or simply relax at home.

Webb House is in the coastal town of Newhaven, with the South Downs, countryside and sea close by. There are shops, cafés and leisure facilities locally as well as bus and rail links to Lewes, Brighton and Eastbourne.

People are supported to get out and about in ways that are meaningful to them, whether that means going for coffee, shopping, enjoying the coast or spending time with family and friends.
