A wonderful 60th celebration
Philippa has called Donec Mews home for quite a few years now, so when it was time to celebrate her 60th birthday everyone wanted to get involved! Karen Bond, Service Manager of Donec, told us all about it.
Philippa’s sister, Caroline, and her link worker, Jane, organised the big birthday bash with help from the staff team, especially Veronica. The party was at the local social club and all her friends and family came including two staff from her day service, Parkview.
Philippa’s actual birthday was the day before her party and she had a buffet at home with a few close friends and her sister and of course a birthday cake! The next day was Phillipa’s party. She really enjoyed the evening and loved dancing with her sister and brother in law. She had a lovely second birthday cake which was made up of loads of chocolate cupcakes.
She had a brilliant time surrounded by people she loved. What more can you ask for on a birthday!
