FitzRoy’s Firewalk – Handle the heat and help transform lives!

Published: March 27, 2025

As the countdown begins for our FitzRoy Firewalk Challenge, the excitement is heating up!

On 5 April 2025 –  International Firewalk Day – brave locals will walk barefoot across 15 feet of burning wood embers at Petersfield Rugby Club, all while raising money to support people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues.

Kirsty, Petersfield’s Shine Radio presenter, is taking on the challenge. She said:

I thought it sounded really interesting and I wanted to be able to do something to raise money for a wonderful local charity. It’s also something that I have wanted to try, a bucket list thing if you like. I’m feeling a bit nervous but also really excited to be with lots of other people doing the same thing. I think it’ll be a great night.

Listen to Kirsty’s chat with our very own Head of Fundraising, Zoe, who is also taking part in the Firewalk.

Angela, our Chief Executive, who will also be facing the heat said, “I’ll be taking on the FitzRoy Firewalk Challenge, not just to support our amazing charity but also for the experience. I challenge you to join me – let’s take brave steps together and make a real difference!”
