Love is all around at Love4Life, with members James and Tasha celebrating their first Valentine’s Day together.
James, who previously featured on Channel 4’s The Undateables in 2018, has been searching for his perfect match â and now cupid seems to have struck.
James said: “This is the first time I have ever had a valentine and now I have found Tasha. It means the whole world to me and it’s changed everything. The year 2020 is going to be amazing for me, I have met a lovely girl and I am so grateful.â
James and Tasha had their first date at Ask Italian in Fareham last month, after chatting to each other for a while before Christmas.
James said: My favourite thing about Tasha is that she treats me like her prince charming and I’m proud to be prince charming.”
Tasha said: “When I think of love, I think of being treated like a lovely princess. I’m really happy. This is our first valentine’s day together, it’s really exciting and I feel really happy inside. I have met my prince charming finally.
“We knew straight away we got on really well. We have a lot in common and we chatted about what films we like and what we do in our spare time. We definitely have high hopes for the future.”
On Wednesday, 12 February, all Love4Life members got together at The Wyvern in Lee-on-Solent to celebrate an early Valentine’s Day together.
Love4Life coordinator, Hayley Ostler, said: “The Love4Life project is an extremely important service that enables adults with learning disabilities and autism to live the life they choose. We are proud to help adults find friendship and love while reducing isolation and loneliness.
âSupporting people at social events to find friends and on dates wouldn’t be possible without an incredibly dedicated team of volunteers which we are always looking for.
âWe are so happy that James has finally found his ‘princess’ Tasha. What an incredible journey to witness and be a part of developing. I wish them both a relationship full of happiness.”
