Room in shared flat in Nottingham for people with learning disabilities
We have a spacious and attractive room available in Huw’s, in a registered care with nursing home.
We are looking for someone to share our four bed flat with their own private room with adapted facilities. The flat has a large kitchen/diner and separate lounge area shared with three other residents.
Service manager Anne said: “Huw’s is a specialist care home where we provide 24-hour nursing care and support to adults with a learning disability and autism who also have other health conditions.
“It’s friendly and relaxed, and our residents have a passion for living life to the full, and all the opportunities the world has to offer. Their families work with us very closely, which makes for a warm, busy and creative atmosphere.”
“Registered care with nursing for people with learning disabilities is quite rare, but this kind of specialist clinical care is vital. At Huw’s we can support people who are acutely unwell, who have conditions such as epilepsy or dementia and need more clinical support.”
What you can expect if you choose a FitzRoy home
Huw’s is made up of two separate houses. This room is in a building that has been converted into two four bed flats. There is a large kitchen-diner as well as a comfortable lounge. The flat is fully adapted and accessible to ensure safety and comfort. There is also a well-equipped sensory room.
The large well established garden has been completely landscaped with raised beds, sunny patios, a large decking area, a sensory area and wheelchair accessible paths.

The local area
Huw’s is located in The Park in central Nottingham, a pleasant and quiet residential area. Everyone who lives here makes the most of the lovely local community but we are also very close to the thriving city centre where you can enjoy a range of different activities from football and shopping, going to the cinema, eating out, bowling and even horse riding.
