At Fitzroy we are looking to recruit a motivated and positive training support person to help with the continued growth of our staff teams and services.

Purpose of the Job

In the Training Support role, you will be first point of contact for all new colleagues joining us on their exciting new career, personally taking responsibility for the whole employee onboarding experience, from contacting them when they are cleared to join us and agreeing their contract date through to scheduling their training contacting them to how they are getting on in service.

You will deliver a professional and accurate customer focussed service with an eye for accuracy, timeliness and approachability. With the support of the Organisation Development Manager, you will be first point of contact for new recruits across FitzRoy in their first 12 weeks, ensuring they have the best experience possible in their new role and feel they are supported well whilst settling into their service, engaging with the team and completing the learning they need to.

Outline of Key Accountabilities

  • Proactively contact new recruits once recruitment checks are complete to welcome them to FitzRoy
  • Update the Care Academy with new learner information, including qualifications already held and any fast tracking possible by clarifying/collating experience and certificates held
  • Manage and co-ordinate the full on-boarding recruit journey once recruited from initial welcome, learning, queries, co-ordination of a buddy in service and in-service induction
  • Advise the recruitment team and new recruit’s manager of their contract start date
  • Advise payroll and the new recruit’s manager of learner hours completed by their start date to ensure consistency and timely payment
  • Be first point of contact for all recruits in their first 6 months at FitzRoy for queries, challenges and issues
  • Contact all new recruits to see how they are getting on in their first month in service and bi-monthly up to their probation completion date and act on any issues discussed
  • Build a solid working understanding of a new recruit’s journey with the Recruitment Team and Operations team and work in partnership with them to ensure a great onboarding experience for everyone
  • Identify areas of improvement and propose actions needed to make the onboarding experience the best it can be
  • Share best practice with the Operations Team so that it can be replicated
  • Support the Training Team with other admin tasks when needed
  • Support Operational colleagues and new recruits to use the Care Academy effectively
  • Ensure all training records kept comply with data protection legislation and FitzRoy policies
