60 years ago, Elizabeth FitzRoy believed that everyone deserved a fulfilled life with love, choice and independence to be happy, healthy and at home.  FitzRoy was founded to support people with learning disabilities to live and thrive in the community, rather than be isolated in institutions.

Sarah finally goes on her London adventure

Sarah lives in her own home in Wells-next-the-Sea and is supported there by our Norfolk Support at Home team. Sarah loves musicals and just over two years ago she bought tickets to see the musical Matilda in London. 

Assistive technology means more independence for Louise

Louise is very sociable and outgoing – she loves life. When she communicated that she wanted more independence around her home, the FitzRoy team in East Sussex decided to use technology to support Louise to be empowered to make decisions and have more control in her day to day life.
