Service Manager turned boxing champ! - FitzRoy

Service Manager turned boxing champ!

Published: April 22, 2016

9th April saw Sam Collingham, FitzRoy Service Manager in Nottingham, fight for FitzRoy in a charity boxing match. Despite the event being called ˜Pink Collar Boxing’, there was nothing pink and fluffy about it says Bev Pearson, Community Fundraising Coordinator.

If you thought women were the fairer sex then think again! Sam bravely took to the ring for fight night after only 8 weeks of intense training. With lots of friends and colleagues from Nottingham there to cheer her on, she took on her opponent with gusto.

There were three rounds of physical contact and Sam took some blows but gave just as many back. In the end the fight had to be stopped early to avoid injury. Yes it was that real! If you haven’t given to Sam’s JustGiving page yet, now is your chance to support and thank her for fighting the good fight for FitzRoy!

Well done Sam “ what a brave lady! If you would like donate, visit Sam’s JustGiving page. Read about why she decided to fight for FitzRoy in our blog post here.
