FitzRoy is dedicated to supplying the PPE our staff need to ensure they can continue their vital work. We acted quickly when the coronavirus outbreak began in the UK to do everything we can to ensure our staff and the people we support are protected.
When it was announced that schools were having to shut due to coronavirus, FitzRoy support worker Adrianne made the difficult decision for her children to live with their father during lockdown so she could continue her vital work.
We are constantly humbled by the amazing support we are receiving from local businesses, communities and the families of the people we support during these most challenging times.
When the strict social distancing measures were put in place last month, we had to close our day services to protect the people we support from contracting coronavirus. Since then, our incredible support workers have been working tirelessly to provide ‘activities on wheels’, making sure everyday life remains as normal – and fun – as possible for our day service members.
Our inspirational staff have demonstrated their passion and dedication by continuing to put the needs of the people we support first during these unprecedented times. Now, we are looking for more people who share our values to join our workforce of heroes.
A new Love4Life hub in Basingstoke opened its doors at the beginning of the month, meaning even more people with learning disabilities and autism across Hampshire can have a place to socialise, make friends and even find love.
