At FitzRoy Gressenhall, we support four older gentlemen with learning disabilities and physical disabilities in a peaceful, homely bungalow surrounded by the Norfolk countryside. Their personalities shine through in everything they do, from enjoying countryside drives and birdwatching to relaxing with a café lunch or a trip to the pub.

We’re looking for an experienced, caring and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team and help lead the delivery of outstanding person-centred support.

🌟 What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll lead by example while supporting people to live independent, fulfilling lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting people with personal care, medication, meals and daily living activities
  • Promoting independence, choice and dignity in everything you do
  • Helping develop and review support plans and risk assessments
  • Leading shifts and providing guidance and support to colleagues
  • Administering and recording medication in line with policies and procedures
  • Supporting people to access the community, attend appointments and enjoy social activities
  • Driving FitzRoy’s accessible vehicles for outings and appointments
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with care standards
  • Working closely with families, health professionals and the wider team
  • Supporting new colleagues through induction and on-the-job coaching

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or complex support needs
  • A positive, person-centred approach and passion for delivering high-quality care
  • Confidence leading shifts and supporting colleagues
  • Good communication, organisational and record-keeping skills
  • A full UK manual driving licence
  • Your own reliable transport, as the service is in a rural location with limited public transport links
  • Flexibility to work a rota including early, late and weekend shifts
