After months of rehearsals, learning lines and practising routines, our Love4Life members took to the stage and wowed with their production of Grease the Musical.

Niels has lived at Vernon Close, our supported living service in Uckfield, for the past 18 years but a new consistent team and some patience and persistence have seen his confidence grow allowing him to try new things and reduce his anxiety.

Late last year, Lyn, who lived at our supported living service, Williamson Court in Coventry, sadly passed away after an eight-month fight with cancer. Lyn’s brother and sister-in-law wrote to the team who cared for Lyn for many years to offer their ‘profound gratitude’ for everything they did for her.

Last week, Bill, who lives at our supported living service at Halls Drive in Coventry, received a long service award from the Lord Mayor of Coventry for 25 years working for Coventry City Council.

FitzRoy took over the care of Jodie, at our Woodlands enhanced supported living service, in October 2022 and just in that short time has become a different person thanks to the person-centred approach and the skill of her support workers.

Vince is 52 and lives in our Coventry supported living home, Tom Mann Close, and he’s been far more active since building a strong bond with his new support worker Nick. 

Caroline, deputy manager at our Jellicoe Court supported living service in Basingstoke, has had a long and varied career in social care. She spoke to us about why she would recommend career in care.

Janine moved into her forever home at Binley Road, our supported living service in Coventry  at the start of December. She’s quickly become one of the family, making friends, and enjoying a trip to watch Jack and the Beanstalk with the other residents last week.

Ross moved into Linden Cottage, our residential care home in East Sussex, just a few months ago after leaving the care of children services. The transition between children's and adults' social care can be very challenging, both for families and the people we support.

Lee and Chris both overcome the anxiety of Covid lockdowns to enjoy a holiday away this year for the first time since the pandemic began.
